The itch
Designers and developers use Lorem ipsum for filler text every day. Filler images are harder: the free services are slow, watermarked, stuck in one ugly format, or hiding behind a signup just to grab a stock photo for a mockup. So we built imgipsum: pick a size, a format, and a category, and get a URL you paste anywhere a page expects an image. No account, no watermark, no upsell.
The real point: small tools, real time saved
A surprising amount of daily work can be carried by small, purpose-built tools: internal calculators, lookup widgets, intake forms, file processors, format converters, the single-page utilities that get used a thousand times a week and rarely get built because they seem too small to bother with. For the person using them every day, they’re the difference between smooth and miserable.
