This policy explains how Adept, a South Dakota limited liability company doing business as Adept Web Dev ("we", "us", or "our"), handles information collected through this website, adeptwebdev.com (the "Site"). It covers the Site only; work we do for clients is governed by the separate agreements we sign with them.

Information you give us

Contact form. When you submit our contact form we collect your name, email address, and the message you send, plus your company and phone number if you choose to provide them.
Blog comments. When you comment on an Ideas post we collect the name and email address you enter and the content of your comment. Your name and comment are shown publicly; your email address is not published.

Information collected automatically

Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting and security layer processes your IP address and basic request details (such as your browser type and the pages you request). We use this to serve the Site, prevent abuse, and rate-limit form submissions.
Analytics. We use a privacy-friendly analytics tool that measures aggregate traffic without using advertising cookies or building a profile of you. We do not run third-party advertising or social-media trackers, and our fonts are served from our own domain.

How we use information

To respond to your inquiries and provide a quote or follow up about a project.
To publish and moderate comments on our Ideas posts.
To keep the Site secure — detecting and preventing spam, abuse, and automated attacks.
To understand, in aggregate, how the Site is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Service providers we share with

We share information with a small number of vendors who process it on our behalf, only to operate the Site:

Resend — delivers contact-form submissions to our inbox as email.
Groq — runs automated spam and abuse screening; the text of your contact message or comment (and the name/email you submit with it) is sent for that check.
Neon — hosts the database that stores blog comments.
Cloudflare — provides content delivery, security, and the cookieless analytics described above, and in doing so processes technical data such as your IP address.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

How long we keep it

We keep contact-form messages for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and for ordinary business records. Comments remain published until you ask us to remove them or we remove them under our Terms of Service. We retain other data only as long as it serves the purposes above.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to remove a comment you posted, by emailing [email protected]. Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK or California), you may have additional rights over your personal information; contact us and we will honor those that apply to you.

Minors

The Site is intended for businesses and adults. It is not directed to persons under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be reflected here.
